<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.nestarchitects.com.au">Nest Architects</a> are a Melbourne based architecture and design practice and the minds behind this bright and resourceful shipping container conversion.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>So, what is it?<br />
&#8220;The Gorman Ship-Shop is exactly what it’s called. A shop that can be shipped, moved or planted anywhere there’s space&#8230;&#8221;</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong> <span style="font-weight: normal; "><img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-center" src="http://designtavern.com/wp-content/gallery/Nest Architects/Nest Architects/_jlm5157.jpg" alt="_jlm5157.jpg" width="476" height="317" /></span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Designed for client Lisa Gorman of <a href="http://www.gorman.ws/">Gorman Industries</a> this amazingly portable design uses basic design principles of functionality to create a unique space. By adopting the simple structure of the container and staying true to its original purpose (shipping..) the appropriately named shipshop acts as a constantly<br />
moving exhibit -</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-center alignnone" src="http://designtavern.com/wp-content/gallery/Nest Architects/Nest Architects/_jlm5365.jpg" alt="_jlm5365.jpg" width="476" height="715" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>&#8220;Sometimes the simple little projects are the most involved … and the most rewarding.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;Lisa Gorman asked me if we could convert a shipping container into a shop. Being in love with these simple steel modular boxes (like most architects) we said “sure &#8230; why not.” The resulting shipping shop took the combined efforts of two architects, a carpenter and his apprentices, a steel fabricator, two transport companies, a sustainability consultant, the entire Gorman office and many others.&#8221;<br />
