Refined, handcrafted laptop bag

2unfold_closeup-2

Renowned as one who loves all things pretty, my search for a new laptop bag has been quite an ardous task. Not only must the bag be fresh, unique and totally unlike anyone elses (not to mention a far cry from the ‘default’ grey one which came with the aforementioned laptop), but it must also be completely practical. Sounds impossible, yes? Wrong – I stumbled across, and fell completely in love with, this baby last night –

Say hello to the 2UNFOLD Multi-use Leather Laptop Bag from HardGraft:

The 2UNFOLD Laptop bag is described as “something of a sartorial transformer” and it’s no guessing as to why. It’s one bag, yet can be used/worn in eight different ways.

Handmade of leather in Italy, the bag is incredibly versatile, easily changes from style to style and has that air of timelessness we all know and love. I know my laptop would feel right at home in this toasty little number, which costs more than half of what I paid for my actually computer – my impractical side still lives! But goodness, it is awesome.

You can purchase this incredibly innovative and desirable bag from here, ships worldwide!

1. Picture: art object hung from the wall
2. chair: pick it from the wall to sit

Studio Dror have come up with “the first foldable cantilever chair” that goes from modern art work to functional furniture.

Perhaps one day “we’ll pull up a chair” by simply grabbing it off the wall?

THe chairs really are ingenious, beautifully fashioned and exhibited, perhaps to nice to sit on?

Space Invaders Design Group

From Milano, Italy comes the talented talent of the Space Invaders Design Group.

Fresh from University, these talented young designers have now completed their degrees but are still meeting to enter design competitions.

The team have kindly given Design Tavern a taste of their work –  A few past University projects.

"Monolite was our final university effort.. "

Tell us a little about yourselves, where are you from and where are you living now?

Four people make up Space Invaders and we are each from a different part of Italy. We met in Milano at university and discovered that working together could have been some potential so we gave it a go and we created the group.

The Space Invaders group is composed by Giovanni Mendini, Stefano Pertegato, Francesco Schiraldi and Eloisa tolu.

The project was for a lighting system which can become something more than a simple lamp, and is actually an “interactive architetural element” to fit in with the SOHO housings (office houses in which dwellers live their entire day).
