‘Lilypad,’ Architecture for climate refugees

The futuristic vision of award winning designer and architect, Vincent Callebaut.

Set in a brief for 2100, the ‘lily pad’ project is aimed at combating rising sea levels, accommodating ”ecological refugees”

It is a true amphibian half aquatic and half terrestrial city, able to accommodate 50,000 inhabitants and inviting the biodiversity to develop its fauna and flora around a central lagoon of soft water collecting and purifying the rain waters.”

Sloped house by HSH architecture.

This amazing house by HSH architecture stands vertical with a slopping roof and a flat base, which digs underground. It slope is the the same direction as the slope of the terrain. The slope of the house was requested by the investor as he wanted to use the house as a small cinema.
