Who Is behind Design Tavern.. ?
Hi, I’m Henry and I (with the help of some very supportive friends) write designtavern.com -
I am a university student, going into my 3rd year of architecture.
When I’m not designing im usually blogging or surfing the net in the constant search for news and inspiration from the architecture and design world.
My personal design interests revolve around ‘green’ design (who hasn’t caught on yet!) along with a minimalist, often contemporary, form follows function approach.
I also specifically have a bit of a soft spot for concrete design (clashes with my green approach somewhat, i know) my other interests include, art, photography, industrial design, reading, writing and some good music!
I started Design Tavern in order to help others in the industry get their work noticed and to keep readers informed of new products, events, competitions and all news in the ever changing industry that
is art and design.

Hi there,
It appears I’m a guest contributor on design tavern! How’d that happen?
I really love design (though I’m untrained) and writing (though I’m not a writer.) My background is book publishing, via cinema studies and journalism, and I have particular interests in graphic design, interiors, floral design, furniture and illustration – and I love when these fields merge. (I also love architecture but know nothing about it, so I’ll leave that up to Henry.) I’m utterly enamoured with books and music and hence I have a particular fetish for beautiful book design and band posters.
Other interests include obsessively reading design blogs and magazines, coffee, eBay and typography.

How lucky am I to be a contributor on design tavern?
I am an aspiring Interior Designer (a second year Masters candidate in Washington, DC) who is passionate about developing my craft so that one day I can create interesting, dynamic, and thoughtful spaces. I enjoy sharing with others great design and all of the lovely things that I find inspiring.
