There is nothing much better than seeing a great film in a beautiful cinema. I had this experience yesterday seeing Milk at the Westgarth. It was pretty awesome.

One of the best things about the film (apart from its inspirational storyline, fabulous performances etc) was the amazingly cool 70s typography that had been painstakingly recreated.

Most of the tyepfaces used in Milk’s promotional campaigns were blocky, sans-serif fonts – with the occasional serif thrown in for diversity.

Type nerds may be able to shed some light on what these fonts are…. I don’t know much about type, but I know what I like.

I’m sure a lot of typophiles will be rather offended to be called type nerds haha
Good to see something new!
I think we should have cop cars today still be like the ones out of the blues brothers….THAT WILL STOP CRIME!
I would consider being called a type nerd a compliment. I just wish I had the credentials.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
